Maruti A Star – The perfect car

The much awaited latest addition to the compact cars manufactured by Maruti Suzuki India Limited is 'A-Star' is finally in the market. It has been touted as the most fuel efficient car in the country. The booking trend has also been favourable. Launched in the last quarter of 2008, the premium hatchback flaunts unique styling in the exteriors, which sets it apart from the crowd. The car has been equipped with the next-generation K-series petrol engine, which delivers commendable power, torque and mileage. The technology of the car is superior to any other car in this catagory.Under the hood of Maruti A-Star lies a 3-cylinder K10B petrol engine, which churns out a power of 67 PS @ 6200 rpm with a peak torque of 90 Nm @ 3500 rpm. Priced between Rs. 3.47 lakh and Rs. 4.12 lakh, the car comes in a lovely range of colors, including Bright Red, Desert Brown, Healing Green, Silky Silver, Paradise Blue, Midnight Black, Sunlight Copper, Arctic White and Azure Grey. The sale of the car is estimated to go up in the new future inspite of new entrants in the same catagory.
