Medical refrigerators are designed specifically for the storage of medical supplies. The main frame that supports all the components of the refrigerator is made of high-quality PVC. This is then lined with steel throughout the body of the refrigerator.

Some synthetic materials like polypropylene have been used to make the back of the refrigerator. Polypropylene is a synthetic polymer. These artificial polymers are much cheaper when compared to steel. They bring down the overall cost of the refrigerator.
