The Advantage of Front-Load Commercial Dishwashers For Small Businesses

The pressures of ensuring your crockery and cutlery is sparkling clean throughout service at your catering business may suggest that it is imperative to avail yourself with a huge, hulking commercial dishwasher; perhaps one of the pass-through machines. Yet it is important to make sure your business is built around your means, and not around what you believe you will need.

To that end, it is in fact not always necessary to go for one of the larger, more industrial machines. After all, if your kitchen staff is working in a tiny space in a restaurant or cafe that has not yet begun to attract a large clientele, why make their lives even more difficult by dedicating most of that space to a huge, hardly-used dishwasher? At first sight it appears to be no different from your average domestic dishwasher, but while the two may not differ in size, it is important to remember that these front loading machines are commercial dishwashers, making them both much faster, with a maximum wash cycle of 4 minutes, and more energy-efficient, requiring as little as 13 amps of power to run the machine. While this does make them slightly slower and less efficient than their larger machines, the Fagor FI30 B-BT will still be able to wash 320 plates an hour. Such speed may mean a lot of loading and unloading, but this will also allow you to weather any sudden storm of demand in your smaller businesses.

Probably the best aspect of these front loading commercial dishwashers is that they are almost exactly the same size as their domestic counterparts, so will be easy to tuck away in a corner of the kitchen, but are much faster, so are able to keep up with the hectic pace of a kitchen environment. However, as it is built in the same way as the domestic dishwasher, it can be said that these front loading commercial dishwashers are not as efficient as the pass through variant, and this does become apparent; rather than the fluid system of pushing a rack into the machine and sliding it back out once the wash cycle has been completed, the front loading machines require you to cart heavy, loaded baskets around the kitchen - hardly ideal in a busy environment.

Therefore it is abundantly clear that though a front loading commercial dishwasher is an excellent addition to a small restaurant or cafe, there is a point where the extra efficiency offered by larger machines becomes apparent. Then again, it remains important to work within your means, so if you are running a catering business with a small kitchen area, then these dishwashers could well be an excellent way to keep your fledgling business running smoothly.
